Spine Surgery

Once you and Dr. Irby have decided that a back operation is necessary, you will probably have many questions. Dr. Irby will go over the operation, as well as the complications in detail with you and answer all of your questions. Many patients have additional questions about their potential surgery after leaving the office. The following information was compiled to provide you with a better understanding of the operation and postoperative course. It is our hope that by providing you with this information you will feel better prepared for your surgery and, therefore, will decrease the anxiety often associated with any surgery.
